Apex heavy duty steering for 2003-2013 Ram 2500 and 2003-2012 Ram 3500 trucks uses massive DOM tubing, and easily greaseable metal on metal joints to firm up steering feel and handle the stress of larger tires and heavy off road use.
This steering linkage was designed from the ground up to address all the flaws of the factory linkage these trucks come with and is the highest quality steering kit available for the 03-13 Ram platform! This steering is direct bolt in with NO drilling or modification necessary. All joins are easily serviced and can be replaced if necessary. Apex is a new name in the Ram steering world, but has quickly shown that they're here to stay.
03-08 Ram owners converting from Y style steering (see third photo in carousel for comparison) will need to select the option to add a pitman arm.
We offer several steering stabilizer options for this linkage and are the ONLY source for running a Carli high mount stabilizer with this linkage. Please note that you will need to select one or both clamp options to run any of the stabilizer choices listed

BALL STUDS:
SAE 4140 hot forged Chromoly Ball Studs: For the strongest possible metallurgy.
Induction Heat Treated Ball Studs: Provides a very precise heat treatment to the exact depth and location needed.
Rolled Threads: Are made by pressing the shape of the threads into the ball stud instead of cutting. This strengthens the threads instead of weakening them and allows for easy movement of hardware. This ain't no Ikea furniture!
Step Threads: allows for very easy movement of hardware on install and superior holding when torqued (installer choice).

LUBRICATION:
Pre threaded Zerk Housing: If you have ever installed a MOOG Ball Joint without a pre-threaded zerk fitting you will understand what a simple but great feature this is. Another installer fav.
Greaseable: Because it should be.
Gull Winged Grease Grooves: Allows for improved lubrication disbursement around the ball stud.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
Ninja Washers (tm): An APEX exclusive is the Ninja Washer which is a unique method of securing the lock nut to the tube, erasing the need for lightly built adjusting tubes with ugly pinch clamps.
Drag Link - Minimum Engagement Mark on Threads: If this mark in the thread of the drag link is showing it means you are beyond the safe engagement of threads into the adjusting sleeve. You may be lifted too high and need to switch to a flip kit or you may need to equal out the adjusting sleeve between the two ends.
