Our favorite option for 2nd gen Ram trucks, this Synergy heavy duty steering kit is a larger and stronger, bolt-on replacement for the stock steering. No drilling or reaming of the knuckles is required, as this steering uses high quality metal on metal joints specifically designed for the taper of the factory parts on the truck. The linkage is also specifically designed to meet the geometry needs of the 2nd gen platform, unlike many popular "4th gen style" kits on the market that aren't actually made for 2nd gens.

This Synergy steering linkage uses the updated factory T-style steering design to eliminate toe-change caused by the 02-08 Y-style steering. Using the factory T-style steering design also results in no induced bump steer inherent with most aftermarket "cross over" steering kits. The Tie Rod also uses low misalignment "wobble stopper" Tie Rod End Boots to prevent unwanted Tie Rod "flop" which results in a dead spot in the steering when changing direction. The complete kit includes a heavy duty Drag Link, heavy duty Tie Rod, and Steering Stabilizer Bracket for use with stock or aftermarket steering stabilizers using a 1/2" mounting bolt. Should you need to replace the joints, they are available from our website individually.

Please note, 1998-1999 trucks that originally came with the factory HD T-Style Steering (Where a straight tie rod connects to both knuckles) must use the pitman arm from 1994-1997 trucks, part number: K440003.

Ive finnaly installed the full upgrade everything is tight, bought this truck years ago, drives like new once again wash boards aren't as rough , thank you CJC for having amazing, American made products

Excellent products with some drawbacks

As this was a COMPLETE suspension replacement, it was a very complex installation as each system used OEM replacement in sections. In other words, the aftermarket components were designed to be compatible with OEM only, not with the other specialized components from different manufacturers. It took much patience & expertise to get it back together! ie. The drawbacks were the complications of getting the entire suspension together with unexpected hindrance that the different components create for the different systems.
