For the 2024 model year Ford decided to do away with the passenger side locking hub on any trucks without the Tremor package. This isn't ideal since it prevents you from using two degree caster shims, but also gets rid of a key feature many of us have grown to use and enjoy on previous model year trucks.
To fix this we put together a kit that uses all factory Ford parts to easily replace the passenger side hub. This doesn't require special tools or knowledge, and is an easy at home install. We highly recommend this for any 24+ model year truck that doesn't have functional hubs on the passenger side.
The line assembly may be necessary for your truck if it was built on or after February 2023. It provides the necessary vacuum tube for the passenger side hub to engage and disengage, ensuring smooth operation. This is NOT needed on Tremor package trucks,
INSTALL:
If you have some experience with basic hand tools, this installation should be a breeze. First, jack up and secure the front of your truck in your garage. Then, remove the passenger side hub/lug cap and dummy hub, noting the bolt hole positions. Next, install the new hub assembly and make sure it is fully seated. On the back side of the wheel hub, remove the (2) vacuum caps and connect the included vacuum line to the hub. For newer trucks, you may need to install the vacuum tube assembly using a trim removal tool. Once everything is in place, test the hub by rotating it - it should spin freely while the axle remains stationary. Finally, reinstall the wheel and tire, put the hub in auto mode, and take it for a test drive to ensure proper function. Always check your vehicle's manual and make sure this product is compatible before starting the modification.
