The Carli Bronco suspension maximizes what's possible on the Bronco platform with a fully bolt in installation. If you are looking for suspension that can rock crawl, handle high speed whoops, and do everything in between this is the setup.
The heart of this system Carli Suspension tuned King coil overs for the Bronco platform, which are the result of months of development, tuning and testing and achieve the best ride possible both on and off road. These shocks feature tuning and pistons unique to Carli, along with stainless shock shafts and adjusters. These compression adjuster work great with our Carli Pistons and tuning to dial in the ride for dirt days!
Billet Upper Control Arm
6061 Billet Construction, integrated & greasable bushing housings, 1.25" FK Uniball at the knuckle pivot and alignment corrected for the lift provided by our Carli-SPEC'd King Shocks - These arms provide optimal strength, durability and clearance to suit the new performance baseline. These are NOT required as the factory control arms will handle even the extended travel-stroke of our Kings (although proper alignment will be tough).
Rear Control Arms
We wanted to build a rock-crushing set of rear control arms. The result of our brainstorming is a 3/16″ Steel outer shell braced by 1/4″ internal X-Bracing that runs the full length of the arm (and actually makes up the gusset to the joint barrel) all welded together to create one unbreakable monolith. Pair this to serviceable (and rebuildable) 17-4 Stainless Steel spherical bearings with vibration damping races and you’re left with a product you can install and forget about, even when dragging through the gnarliest terrain! These arms correct the position of the rear axle by shifting it rearward about 3/8″ to perfectly center at full compression for optimal tire clearance.
The base kit we've put together combines that shock package with Carli's upper control arms, rear arms, and then gives the option to add a Carli torsion sway bar, steering system, rear shock guards, rear arm guards, and sliders to build your ultimate kit.
OPTIONAL ADD ON ITEMS:
Torsion Sway Bar
As with the shock tuning, we’re after balance. We wanted a sway bar that would allow us to maintain traction while articulating off-road while providing the support we need on-road. It took us a few different torsion spring rates to nail it but, combined with our Carli-SPEC King 2.5″ shocks, we now have a Bronco that rails high-speed corners like a sports car and articulates as though the sway bar has been disconnected. This is NOT compatible with models that have factory sway bar disconnects.
Tie Rod System
We've maximized both strength and geometry correction in engineering this steering systems. Robust materials and serviceable joints combine with altered geometry to create a tie-rod system that both eliminates the tie-rods as a point of failure AND reduces toe-change through the extended travel range of the Carli-SPEC King Shocks to a mere fraction of the factory tie-rods. The extended-travel King Shocks and oversized tires both strain the factory tie-rods; our steering system is designed and tested to withstand these with ease!
Rear Adjustable Track Bar
No frills here, but we’ve optimized the rear adjustable track bar to be all it can be. The main bar is 1/4″ wall tubing with an externally gusseted joint barrel. This joint barrel in the Axle Side houses our proven, vibration-damping CUB joint. The Frame-end: our external JAMMIT nut, providing 100% more friction surface area than a standard Jam-Nut, secures an FK Bearing Heim.
Rock Sliders
Constructed from a combination of 3/16″ Wall Square Main Tube, 1/8″ wall square kickers and 3/16″ frame plates, you won’t find a stronger set of sliders for your Bronco.
Rear Control Arm Mount Skid
We’ve designed simple and highly effective guards that bolt in (with options to weld should customers want to make them a permanent fixture) offering protection commensurate to our other offerings. If they’re bolted, they’ll serve as a robust, replaceable skid plate to protect the factory infrastructure.
Rear Shock Mount Skid
King Coilovers are expensive and, if you were to damage a rod-end or axle mount, that’s the end of your day and a very expensive tow! Further, the factory mounts aren’t the pinnacle of strength and are absolutely low hanging fruit. Material is doubled on the main bolt, drain holes to resist corrosion, and fully welded construction. Some products are cheap, easy to install and are worth their weight in gold. These are one of those products.
