If your goal is to smash whoops, jump your truck, and bash through anything in your path of your 2017+ Super Duty, the Carli Dominator system is the setup for you. This system boasts Carli Signature tuned, King 3.0” Remote Reservoir shocks so large, Carli worked with King for several years perfecting the fitment. The Result, offset upper stem-top and lower shock mounts to squeeze these massive, 10″ travel front shocks in place. This means no cutting or welding on the factory buckets to fit the shocks in the front – BOLT IN 3.0″ shocks.
The Rear is outfitted with matching 3.0″ Kings in a Piggy-Back reservoir configuration. We provide weld-in shock mounts to offset the oversized shock body away from the frame and strengthen the upper rear mount for the impending punishment. The installation is super easy, albeit, requires cutting and welding. One thing to note here – none of the trucks on which we’ve installed these shocks have been equipped with a factory, or aftermarket, 5th wheel hitch. We’ve been told these rear shock mounts interfere and require modification to the factory 5th wheel hitch. As they’re weld-on, anyway – it shouldn’t be a problem for the fabricator to make this work but it’s worth noting! Due to the sheer size of these shocks, towing, hauling, and heavy off road usage are no problem. They can take any abuse you can throw at the truck in stride, and offer a smoother on road ride than the pintop system.
The truck will sit 4.5” higher in the front with this lift and have more wheel travel thanks to the taller, Progressive Rate Coil Springs. Radius Arm Drop Brackets reset the pivot point and keep the travel linear for the best ride while the Sway Bar Link & Drop Brackets Kit resets the sway bar engagement point. The End Link/sway bar drop kit is listed as an “option”, but it’s necessary to run, unless you opt for the torsion sway bar which dramatically improves ride, but isn't recommended for trucks with in bed campers or a high center of gravity.
Bump Stop Drops protect the shocks from over-compressing, the Adjustable Track Bar centers the front axle and Stainless Brake Lines firm up braking and ensure there is enough line for the newfound travel. To round off the front end, we include Caster Shims to correct alignment.
This kit REQUIRES the addition of a rear lift option, unless you want a front high stance. Please note that the addition of Carli rear leaf springs will dramatically reduce payload/ towing capacity with an F-450 in favor of better ride quality. We offer a Carli rear airbag kit which has a 2,000 pound capacity per bag, but that will not retain complete factory capacity on these F-450 trucks. If your trailer tongue weight or camper is over about 3,000 pounds, you'll want to stick with the stock rear leaf springs and select the rear block kit option.
Please note that the exact lift amount of these systems can vary slightly depending on how the truck is optioned from Ford, but the truck will sit level with a Carli rear leaf or 5" block
